Chandrayaan-3 confirmed the presence of sulfur on the lunar surface. The presence of sulfur at the south pole of the Moon was confirmed by the Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscope (LIBS) on the Pragyan rover, which was released from the Vikram lander of the mission.
