A woman who tried to kill her husband by mixing poison in coffee was arrested. The incident took place in Arizona, US. Melody Felicano Johnson was arrested by the police on charges including attempted murder. For the past few months, they had poisoned coffee and given it to her husband. Her husband Robbie Johnson, an Air Force officer in the US, noticed a difference in the taste of his coffee in March.
After that, Johnson tested with 'Pool Testing Strips' and discovered the presence of high levels of chlorine in the pot that prepares the coffee. Later, Robbie Johnson installed hidden cameras in many places in the house and discovered that his wife was mixing poison in the coffee. In the footage, he was seen filling the container with bleach and putting it in the coffee maker. He handed over the footage to the police. The woman was arrested during the investigation.
Robbie Johnson told police that his wife tried to kill him to collect benefits after his death. The woman was arrested and booked into the Pima County Jail following the prosecution's argument that the suspect might flee the country. Both have a child.
